Safe Landing Program

When your loved one has an event that puts them in the hospital, it is usually unexpected. Decisions need to be made immediately, and families receive an overwhelming amount of information to process. Our Safe Landing Program streamlines the process, filtering out unnecessary details to help you determine what is best for your loved one at this time, as well as what to consider for their future.

For some, going home is the best option, while others do not have a support system or finances that allow for it. With the Safe Landing Program, we review your unique circumstances and provide you with resources you may not have yet heard of. We go a step above simply giving you a stack of available options, explaining which are realistic for your situation and, most of all, what is safe for your loved one. We offer a free consultation over the phone or zoom and can conference in any family members you would like involved.

Our experienced and friendly advisors are committed to helping take some of the pressure and anxiety away by walking you through the whole process. Our “hands on” approach to helping our families makes locating a Care Provider as uncomplicated and seamless as possible.

What we Discuss in the Safe Landing Program

  • Home Safety – Hazards that you may not expect in your home such as rugs, small steps, cooking, etc.
  • Finances – Based on your financial situation, we discuss what options are affordable for you, how to make your money last longer, what state funded programs may be available to you, and more.
  • Insurance – Many health insurances do not cover caregiving or placement into a care home. What do insurances cover?
  • State Funded Programs – Medicare, MediCal, Assisted Living Waiver Program, In Home Health Services, etc.
  • Legal issues – Bumps in the road you may come across with legal matters, such as Power of Attorney and access to finances.
  • Care – What options are right for you? We will review In Home Care, Board and Care, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing so you can determine the best fit based off of the individual’s needs.
  • Veterans Benefits & Homes – How can you qualify for veterans assistance? How long will it take to get into one of the few dedicated facilities around California?
  • Progressive Health Decline – What to do the next time mom/dad winds up in the hospital.
  • Palliative/Hospice Care – When is this service right for your loved one?
