Shauna Crabtree: Senior Placement Advisor

Shauna Crabtree has been with Care Placement since January 2016. During that time, she has filled many roles, both inside the office and in the field. For many years, Shauna worked as a Placement Assistant, working behind the scenes to help families.

Since 2024, Shauna has taken on a new role with Care Placement as Senior Placement Advisor, serving mostly in the field in the East County region. Known internally as a Rep, in the role of Senior Placement Advisor, Shauna maintains relationships with communities and local hospitals as one of our first points of contact.

After many years acquiring proficiency as an assistant, why the change?

I like working directly with the case managers and social workers to problem-solve patient care.

In the field, Shauna works closely with families to analyze their individual needs and to make sure we only refer homes that meet those needs. She is by their sides at the hospital, helping them understand what’s happening and the next steps. She helps them communicate their needs and concerns, fighting for the best possible placement on their behalf.

Shauna also serves as our Homes Liaison. She has an in-depth knowledge of the homes and communities in our database, and she works to maintain our close relationships with them. That allows us to be confident that the options we are providing to our families will be the best fit for each person’s unique needs and desires.

It brings me great joy to know that I am able to help walk families through this often emotional journey to make sure their loved ones are cared for. The loving environment at Care Placement translates to the care and attention we are able to give our families. It is wonderful to be surrounded by people with the same goal, to provide the best help for the elders in our community.

    Hi Shauna,

I own a home care agency in La Mesa and Poway named Senior Helpers. We are interested in offering a referral fee for Clients looking for placement in the future, but may have immediate home care needs. Would you be interested in talking a little more about it?
